Tandem
Two wheelers are ubiquitious in subtropical areas. They are representing the main conveniance. While being in India for two years, I observed a lack of helmet due to contextual and economic reasons. Tandem is a multiple answer to those needs. The solution has been to create two helmet from one by dividing the helmet into a male part and a female part, thus giving some protection to the passenger.
This notion of “sharing” provokes empathy, by sharing protection, it creates mutual trust thus resulting in better driving experience with a notion of equality. “Share the risk, share the protection”.
It can also be worn without its male part to support the hot weather. Moreover, the chinstrap contains a pocket for a mobile phone, allowing hands-free talk. Tandem got awarded by the red dot design award in 2013.
